Position Overview

Flower City Union and Flower City 1872 are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Part-Time Sponsorship and Ticket Sales Manager to support the club’s efforts in generating revenue through sponsorships, ticket sales, and other partnerships. This position will play a key role in the growth of the club by identifying and securing sponsorships, promoting ticket sales, and assisting in the overall sales strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, a passion for sports, and an understanding of the importance of building relationships with community partners, sponsors, and fans. This position offers a flexible, part-time schedule and the opportunity to contribute to the success of Flower City Union and Flower City 1872, a club that strives to foster community engagement and grow the sport of soccer in Rochester.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sponsorship Sales & Partnership Management

  • Identify and prospect potential sponsors and partners within the local community and regional markets.
  • Develop and pitch customized sponsorship packages to local businesses, corporate partners, and community organizations, emphasizing the value of partnering with Flower City Union and Flower City 1872.
  • Manage relationships with existing sponsors and partners, ensuring they receive maximum exposure and benefit from their partnerships.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements for sponsorship deals, ensuring alignment with the club’s goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and deliver sponsorship activation opportunities, ensuring that all sponsor commitments are met, including signage, promotional materials, and other agreed-upon assets.
  • Assist in the development and execution of community engagement strategies that support sponsorship activation.

2. Ticket Sales & Promotion

  • Promote and sell single-game tickets, season tickets, and group packages for Flower City Union and Flower City 1872 home matches.
  • Develop and execute ticket sales campaigns to drive attendance at games, including targeted outreach to schools, local organizations, and community groups.
  • Manage ticketing platform and systems, ensuring an efficient process for fans to purchase tickets online, over the phone, and in person.
  • Develop and implement special promotions, discounts, and packages to increase ticket sales and fan engagement.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of digital and print marketing materials to promote ticket sales, including social media posts, email newsletters, and event flyers.
  • Track and report on ticket sales performance, identifying opportunities to improve sales and fan experience.

3. Fan Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Engage with fans and local organizations to increase awareness of Flower City Union and Flower City 1872’s games and events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders, including schools, youth leagues, and local businesses, to foster long-term support.
  • Assist in organizing fan events, special promotions, and fan experiences to enhance ticket sales and sponsorship engagement.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ticket buyers, sponsors, and partners, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

4. Administrative Support & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sponsorship and ticket sales activity.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, sponsorship contracts, and ticket revenue to the General Manager.
  • Assist in the creation of sales materials, sponsorship proposals, and ticketing collateral.
  • Support the team with any other sales-related administrative tasks, including contracts, invoicing, and coordination of sponsor or ticket holder requests.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, partners, and fans.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Passion for soccer and a strong understanding of the sports industry is a plus.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for games, events, and promotional activities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Ability to represent Flower City Union and Flower City 1872 professionally in all interactions with sponsors, fans, and community partners.
